DAY 1: ARRIVE BALI

Arrive this afternoon on the island paradise of Bali. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2: ULUWATU CLIFF TEMPLE

Following your morning at leisure, enjoy a pleasant short ride along the hills of Bali’s southern peninsula to Bukit. Unlike the majority of lush tropical country side, this arid terrain-formed by millennia of coral sedimentations is quite different. The beautiful, yet, wild beaches are heaven for surfers. In the corner of this peninsula, perched on a sheer cliff, a highly venerated Uluwatu temple is situated. Enjoy a performance of The Ramayana epic-based Kecak Dance with the majestic temple and sunset as its background.

The tour ends at Jimbaran Beach where you can enjoy a Seafood dinner, served on the beach.

DAY 3: JIMBARAN / PEMUTERAN

Depart by private air conditioned car to explore the unspoiled countryside and villages of the back roads. Travelling through thick tropical forest and along scenic mountains you will reach the Candi Kuning fruit and flower market. Continue to Bedugul, an attractive mountain resort. Serene Lake Beratan fills the ancient crater of Mount Batukaru. This pretty temple, Ulun Danu on the water’s edge, is dedicated to Dewi Danu the goddess of the waters. Enjoy a coffee break with beautiful sceneries in Munduk. Drive to Brahmavihara Arama, Bali’s only Buddhist monastery, with its colorful decorations.There is also a holy hot spring originated from volcanic activities.

 Proceed to Pemuteran and check into your hotel.

DAY 4: PEMUTERAN

Day at leisure to relax and pursue independent activities.

DAY 5: PEMUTERAN / CANDIDASA

After breakfast, drive to East Bali with enroute stop at Sangsit Village to visit Pura Beji, a subak (irrigated rice system) temple dedicated to Dewi Sri. Visit the Maduwe Karang Temple, one of the best temples in northern Bali. In Kintamani, enjoy lunch with panoramic views of Mount Batur, the semi-active volcano, which stands majestically over the beautiful Batur Lake. Afterwards transfer to Candidasa.

DAY 6: CANDIDASA / UBUD

After breakfast, drive through the south coast and visit the village of Kastala where you will trek across a small river and walk through rice fields. Continue walking and discover the village of Gumung, which means on the top of the hill, then proceed to Tenganan Village, which is occupied by Bali Aga people, descendants of the original Balinese who inhabited Bali prior to the Majapahit arrival. The village is surrounded by a wall and consists basically of two rows of identical houses stretching up the gentle slope of the hill. Continue to Besakih Temple, also known as the “Mother Temple of Bali” on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung. Afterwards, you’ll continue to Bangli and visit Kehen Temple, the state temple of the Bangli kingdom. The temple is terraced up the hillside, with a great flight of steps leading to the beautifully decorated entrance. Afterwards proceed to check in at hotel in Ubud.

DAY 7: UBUD

After breakfast, embark on a morning tour to explore Ubud, the artisan village. First stop will be at rural villages and vast areas of beautifully terraced rice fields in Tegal Lalang. Then continue to Celuk. Celuk is the name of the countryside in Gianyar regency where most of the local societies are very creative at making handicrafts from silver. Multiple silverwork styles are present in this area, which you may purchase and bring home for as a souvenir. Next is a visit to Mas village where you can see locals do wood carvings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and then drive back to hotel.

DAY 8: BALI / HOME

Depart Bali, taking with you an appreciation of a new way of life and a fascinating culture.

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 : Bali Arrival – Transfer to Ubud

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport our guide will meet you then drive to Ubud. Ubud is a tourist center in  country side in Bali, located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the  island. Promoted as an arts and culture, it has developed a large tourism industry.  It is about 2 hours’ drive from the airport during heavy hours or about 45 minutes during normal time.  Accommodation at Visesa Hotel Ubud, all suites rooms and villas. Hotel confirmed at Suites.

DAY 2 : Full day Kintamani – Local Village

Breakfast at hotel. Then drive up to Bayung Gede Village where the baby’s placentas are hanging on  the trees’ brances. My agent passed small alley that only fit for small car, but there is bigger road for big coaches such as Isuzu Elf minibus. The unique of this grave is the baby’s placentas are not buried but it is hung. The placentas are put inside of the coconut shell then hang in the Bungkak trees. Eventhough the placentas are only be hung, visitors will not smell the placenta or the blood scent. The scent of the coconut shell covers the fishy smell. Every placentas of the villager have to be put and hang in this place. For villager who already went outside Bali, they also have to hang their baby’s placenta there. It symbols for every villager who leave the village, they will always return to the village. The second uniqueness of this village is the similarity of several houses which arranged like in Penglipuran Village. In fact, Penglipuran’s villagers were from Bayung Gede. When the (Guerrilla) war at 1900, the armies from Bayung Gede were sent to Penglipuran. Since the distance from Bayung Gede and Penglipuran is far, they built a village with custom, building style and daily life like in Bayung Gede. There is a small building beside the placenta grave (isolate place). That building is for couple who married their own cousin or for mother who gives birth a male-female twin. The mother will stay in this building if She delivers her daughter first and the son is second. But, if She delivers the male baby first and female in second, She can stay in her own home.

After visit the hanging placenta, visitor will continue  drive to Kintamani and have lunch in local restaurant while enjoy  the Batur Volcano and the lake while having lunch. After lunch, drive down to Tampak Siring, made a stop in Cantik Agro plantation. This Agro plantation is the right place to see many kind of organic plants such as cocoa, lemongrass, snake fruit, coffee and etc. See the process of making coffee from the beans, dry process, the beans are roasted, until it becomes coffee powder. Tourist can try several drinks such as Ginseng coffee, Lemongrass tea and Ginger tea. Afternoon drive back to Visesa Hotel Ubud . (B,L)

DAY 3 : Fullday Mengwi – Alas Kedaton – Bedugul – Jatiluwih – Tanah Lot – Ubud

Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Mengwi to view the beautiful Taman Ayun Royal Temple and to the holy monkey forest at Kedaton – noted for its temples inhabited by colonies of friendly monkeys. After that, drive up to Bedugul to see recreation Center of Beratan Lake and Candi Dewi Temple – The Goddess of the water temple. Lunch will be serve at local restaurant in Bedugul. After lunch, then drive back down on the backbone road to Jatiluwih village where you can see the spectacular rice terraces landscape. Then, on to Tanah Lot temple built on a small, offshore island of barren-rock. Evening drive back to the hotel. (B,L)

DAY 4 : Ubud Market –Kehen Temple– Sidemen – Transfer to Candidasa

Breakfast at Hotel. Check out from Hotel then visit traditional Ubud market. From Ubud market direct drive Bangli Regency  to Kehen Temple. Kehen Temple is  an ancient Hindu temple complex boasting unique architectural features. … The temple’s walls are also ornate with Chinese porcelain plates, which are a tribute to the historical relations between the local Bali kingdom and China. Then drive to Sidemen,  In Sidemen you’ll find a rural countryside down the southern hillsides of Bali’s tallest mountain, Mount Agung. Swathes of paddies and plantations in the village’s countryside are tended by their respective farming communities. Direct drive to Candidasa and check-in at Candi Beach Hotel. (B)

DAY 5 : Tenganan Traditional village – Tirta Gangga – Virgin Beach with White Sandy.

Breakfast at Hotel. Then visit Tenganan Village, Tenganan is one of the oldest Balinese Traditional Village located in Karangasem Regency, east part of Bali. This village is much referred by cultural literature science of Tenganan Pegringsingan, which is very famous in the island. It own very unique local community life pattern which is one example of Bali Aga Village cultures (Hindu Prehistoric). From Tenganan village continue drive to Tirta Gangga, a veritable water playground designed by 6 princes in the Royal Family of Karangasem a resting place. The exotic pools and water fountains sustained some damage during the eruption of Mt. Agung but the water gardens remains as serene and tempting as ever, to the weary traveler. Afternoon drive back to the hotel with visit to the Virgin Beach with it’s white sand. Back to hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 6 : Candidasa – Salt Maker –  Goa Lawah – Transfer to Sanur.

Breakfast at Hotel.  Next drive to Kusamba to see and learn the process of making traditional salt. A side trip will be made to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave), a temple built in front of a cave inhabited by thousands of bats. Continue transfer to Sanur. Sanur is one of Bali’s biggest traditional village but it’s also one of the most established tourist areas. Sanur was Bali’s first beach resort but still retains its Balinese character and old style of village. Accommodation at Griya Santrian. This is a beach resort. (B)

DAY 7 : Sanur – Free at leisure

Breakfast at Hotel. Afternoon free on the beach. (B)

DAY 8 : Sanur – Nusa Dua Beach & Pandawa Beach

Breakfast at Hotel. Trip to Nusa Dua to visit some beaches such as: Nusa Dua Beach, Pandawa Beach and Padang – Padang Beach. Back to Hotel for accommodation. (B)

Please note that Nusa Dua beach consists of hotels. There are more than 20 5 star hotels and the rest in Tanjung Benoa about 4 star 30-40 hotels. You will have access to the beach to see the Nusa Dua beach look like.

DAY 9 : Sanur – Kecak Dance Performance

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning free at leisure. In the afternoon at 17:30 PM, our guide will meet you then drive to Waribang a village about 15 minutes to attend Kecak Dance performance. Kecak Dance is traditional Balinese dance with music generated from a combination sounds, Kecak Dance members which were about 50-70 people all of them will make music in “akapela”…music by mouth. Kecak Dance is describing the story of Ramayana. Back to Hotel for accommodation. (B)

DAY 2: BOROBUDUR & PRAMBANAN EXCURSION

Home of the world’s largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur is set amid a backdrop of volcanoes. This vast, ancient site features thousands of sculptures rising on seven levels and represents the peak of 8th–10th century South Asian Buddhist art. It is the oldest Mahayana Buddhist Temple in Indonesia. Later explore Prambanan, an ancient complex built in the style of Javanese-Hindu art that stands on the ethereal heights of the Dieng Plateau. In the evening, you will be transferred to a local restaurant to enjoy dinner.

DAY 3: YOGYAKARTA / BALI

Visit the elegant Kraton Royal Center. Its myriad museums, temples, crafts workshops and markets display the finest court architecture in Java. Dioramas with life-size puppets show the grandeur of earlier times, including a royal wedding. See fabulous batiks being produced, for which the area is famous. DAY 4: UBUD & KINTAMANI EXCURSION

Enjoy the full day sightseeing tour of Bali, featuring its natural, cultural, and artistic aspects. The tour begins with a stop at the village of Batubulan where you will attend a cultural performance of Barong and Keris Dance, which depicts the story of the eternal battle between good and evil. Proceed to the artisan villages of Celuk, Mas and Ubud, known as the center of Balinese gold and silver jeweler industry, wood carvings and art paintings respectively. Then drive to Sidemen,  In Sidemen you’ll find a rural countryside down the southern hillsides of Bali’s tallest mountain, Mount Agung. Swathes of paddies and plantations in the village’s countryside are tended by their respective farming communities. Direct drive to Candidasa and check-in at Candi Beach Hotel. (B)

DAY 5 : Tenganan Traditional village – Tirta Gangga – Virgin Beach with White Sandy.

Breakfast at Hotel. Then visit Tenganan Village, Tenganan is one of the oldest Balinese Traditional Village located in Karangasem Regency, east part of Bali. This village is much referred by cultural literature science of Tenganan Pegringsingan, which is very famous in the island. It own very unique local community life pattern which is one example of Bali Aga Village cultures (Hindu Prehistoric). From Tenganan village continue drive to Tirta Gangga, a veritable water playground designed by 6 princes in the Royal Family of Karangasem a resting place. The exotic pools and water fountains sustained some damage during the eruption of Mt. Agung but the water gardens remains as serene and tempting as ever, to the weary traveler. Afternoon drive back to the hotel with visit to the Virgin Beach with it’s white sand. Back to hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 6 : Candidasa – Salt Maker –  Goa Lawah – Transfer to Sanur.

Breakfast at Hotel.  Next drive to Kusamba to see and learn the process of making traditional salt. A side trip will be made to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave), a temple built in front of a cave inhabited by thousands of bats. Continue transfer to Sanur. Sanur is one of Bali’s biggest traditional village but it’s also one of the most established tourist areas. Sanur was Bali’s first beach resort but still retains its Balinese character and old style of village. Accommodation at Griya Santrian. This is a beach resort. (B)

13:00 – 13:10 PM : Drive from Kusamba to Goa Lawah (10 minutes’ drive)

13:10 – 14:00 PM : Visiting Goa Lawah temple

14:00 – 15:30 PM : Drive from Goa Lawah to Sanur for accommodation. (1 hour 30 minutes’ drive)

DAY 7 : Sanur – Free at leisure

Breakfast at Hotel. Afternoon free on the beach. (B)

DAY 8 : Sanur – Nusa Dua Beach & Pandawa Beach

Breakfast at Hotel. Trip to Nusa Dua to visit some beaches such as: Nusa Dua Beach, Pandawa Beach and Padang – Padang Beach. Back to Hotel for accommodation. (B)

Please note that Nusa Dua beach consists of hotels. There are more than 20 5 star hotels and the rest in Tanjung Benoa about 4 star 30-40 hotels. You will have access to the beach to see the Nusa Dua beach look like.

DAY 9 : Sanur – Kecak Dance Performance

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning free at leisure. In the afternoon at 17:30 PM, our guide will meet you then drive to Waribang a village about 15 minutes to attend Kecak Dance performance. Kecak Dance is traditional Balinese dance with music generated from a combination sounds, Kecak Dance members which were about 50-70 people all of them will make music in “akapela”…music by mouth. Kecak Dance is describing the story of Ramayana. Back to Hotel for accommodation. (B)
